The twin brother of former Liverpool defender Philip Degen, David, is a target for Everton, according to The Mirror.

Everton manager David Moyes is rumoured to be impressed by Degen’s performances for Young Boys in Switzerland and could make a January swoop for the right-sided midfielder – although Fiorentina are also keen.

Degen, 28, has 14 caps for the Swiss national side and is a more attacking player than his brother who mainly plays as a defender.

Philip was released by Liverpool during the summer after being brought to Anfield on a free transfer in 2008.
