Liverpool ready to offload midfielder to in order to land striker
Liverpool are ready to offload on-loan midfielder Joe Cole to Lille in order to get forward Moussa Sow, according to French publication Le Parisien.
Cole, who is currently impressing in a temporary deal with the Ligue 1 champions, could well be used as a make-weight in a swoop for Sow, 25, who is seen as a potential solution to Liverpool’s goals problem.
The Reds were held to yet another home stalemate on Saturday with a 0-0 draw with Stoke City and Kenny Dalglish’s side have scored eight goals less than 17th-placed Blackburn Rovers.
Sow, who has 10 goals in 25 games this season, has also been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham in the past.

This is a matter of urgency when it comes to Striker in Lfc, we fans needs result not prophesy. We need the likes of Soldado,Cavani,Eto,Teves,Podoski,Defoe, that are just being prolific in front of keepers. You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Am more concerned about prolific striker, if lfc will finish top 4 this season we must sign creative striker like torres etc.

Am tired of all these speculations, what ever we are doing, let do it nw. Without a very good striker coming to Anfield this january, we must lose the top four finish which is d primary target. Sorry to say this, lfc is nt playing anything dis season, football is nt abt having all possessions in a match bt having the maximum points at d end of d game.

Liverpool should SACK KD for playing 5 defenders against a team that never attacked – disgraceful!

The 3 main things in soccer is to defend with energy – tick……create scoring chances – tick……take opportunities in front of goal – cross. 2 out of 3 is not good enough for this proud club & something must be done immediately. A draw at home to Stoke?? Should be destroying teams of this standard by 2 or 3 goals in a canter. Dissapointing but will never waver my support – just wish common sense would give Liverpool the talisman it deserves to take away the frustrating draws that will unfortunately cost us a champions league spot….

A top strike,r with both talent and good attitude’ is hard to find, and Liverpool want to get a young one who will be around for years. They must not rush it. After all, they are not going to contend in the Premier League this year, and if they got into the Champions League, they wouldn’t contend there next year. They need to structure a team that will contend for titles in 2 or 3 years and for many years thereafter!

None of the players you have mentioned would ever dream of playing for Dalglish who as the days go by reveal how out of depth he really is. YNFA.

@Damilila: No ‘ifs’, Liverpool would most definitely not qualify for Champions League.

We need a finisher, and henderson, downing should all be coming from bench, also kd’s contract should not be extended, cos in my opinion he is racist and old fashioned. In his career he only signed one black player and that is Barnes and who can resist him at that time.

We will never walk alone. A finisher is our problem and caroll is inefficient up front. Lets go 4 pato or teves,at least they can leave their clubs 4 a good pay of £30million

I agrre with you, but Kenny does not seem to believe that “a bird in the hand is worth two in a bush” so consequently “saves” potential match winners for future games. For me he has to play the best possible team available and get the three points today and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.
