Arsenal forward set to exit the Emirates after just one season?
Arsenal forward Park Chu-Young could leave the club at the end of the current season if his first-team opportunities don’t improve.
The agent of the South Korean captain has claimed that his client will be looking for a move away from Arsenal in the summer after signing from Monaco for £3m just six months ago.
However, Chu-Young’s playing time at Arsenal has been extremely limited and the player’s woes would have been compounded by the fact boss Arsene Wenger felt it was right to bring back a 34-year-old Thierry Henry to cover the losses of Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho who have left for the African Nations Cup.
“If the current state continues, we will have to look at the transfer market in the summer,” Chu-Young’s agent told Sporting Life.
He added: “In the English media, it was reported that Arsenal had rejected a loan offer for Park.
“However, this was in contrast to what we heard from Arsenal. There was no loan offer during the transfer window.”
Chu-Young has played in just one Premier League match this season, a seven-minute substitute appearance against Manchester United.
