Bundesliga News… Van Bommel to see out Bayern contract
After alleged January interest from Bundelisga rivals Wolfsburg, the agent of Mark Van Bommel has confirmed that the Dutch veteran will see his contract through at Bayern Munich which expires at the end of the season.
Van Bommel, who is captain of Bayern, has been held in high regard since his move to the Allianz Arena from Spanish giants Barcelona in 2006 but speculation has mounted that the former PSV midfielder will move in the January transfer window.
However, agent Mino Raiola confirmed to German newspaper Bild that this is not the case.
“Mark will play for Bayern for the next five months,” he said.
