Liverpool eyeing up French international goalkeeper

Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is being lined up by Liverpool to replace Pepe Reina who continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield, according to talkSPORT.

AC Milan are hoping to snare Reina away from Anfield to replace the ageing Christian Abbiati and new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is thought to be sniffing out potential replacements with Lloris top of his hit list.

The 25-year-old, who captained France during their recent disappointing Euro 2012 campaign, has been long coveted by various English sides including Manchester United and Spurs.

He has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s finest goalkeepers since joining Lyon from Nice in 2008 and is regarded as the most talented goalkeeper France have produced since Fabien Barthez.

Lyon will be reluctant to let Lloris leave after another impressive season for the club but they could find it difficult to turn down a seven-figure offer for him after missing out on Champions League football for next season.

I am fed up with just pure transfer speculations..does these reporters have nothing better to do ? What is more agitating is lfc is slow on getting its transfer targets again…while the likes of the manures, city, spurs, arsenal have already gotten some of their targets. Why is lfc always so slow…is anything going to change for the better at lfc ?
