Speaking to Arsenal TV online, the Gunner’s keeper admitted that his childhood films still have a big impact on him.

“When I was younger, watching movies like Rocky and Superman, all those superhero stuff with that music, it was always inspiring for me. I’m not saying about football but in my life, like when you’re down you have to get up and fight for what you want.” said Fabianksi.

“So I think maybe those things inspired me and to be honest I still love to watch Rocky and Superman and movies like that. I really love movies –  especially the zero to hero stories.”

Despite being labelled ‘Flapianski’ for his inability to catch crosses, the Polish stopper has gone from strength to strength this season, producing a Rocky story of his own.
