Agent of Brazilian international hints at Chelsea switch

The agent of Porto forward Hulk has claimed that his player could make a summer switch to Chelsea in order to improve his chances of playing at the 2014 World Cup.

Hulk is a part of the Brazilian side that will take part in this summer’s Olympic Games in London but agent Teodoro Fonseca believes a move to the Premier League may be necessary in order for the 25-year-old to be considered for the Samba Boys in two years time.

Quoted by the Express, Fonseca said: “Hulk is among the most coveted players in Europe. He feels good at Porto, he is part of the family, but a departure is not impossible.

“He wants to play at the 2014 World Cup in his homeland and playing in England makes this more realistic.”

According to the report, Chelsea are prepared to offer around £30m for the left-footed attacker but Porto may hold on to the player who is contracted in Portugal until 2016.

It is believed that Hulk has a minimum release clause fee of £80m.
