Many Everton fans will have woken up on Tuesday feeling hard done by having seen two legitimate goals ruled out in Monday’s 2-2 draw at home Newcastle United.

To add insult to injury Newcastle boss Alan Pardew agrees that the goals should have stood.

The Daily Mirror have reported Everton gaffer David Moyes’ grievances after linesman Ceri Richards wrongly disallowed Marouane Fellaini’s goal for offside and later ruled that Victor Anichebe’s effort had not crossed the line – despite replays showing it had.

Pardew believes Everton have every right to feel they’ve been robbed and has called for video technology.

“The one over the line was definitely in.” Said the Newcastle manager after the game.

“I’ve said all along, as many Premier League managers have, that technology must come in. It’s cost Everton a crucial goal.”

Moyes was disappointed with the officials decisions which cost his club all three points

“There are two goals they missed, but I can’t get them back. I don’t know how the linesman missed them,” he said.
