Chelsea eyeing triple swoop on Serie A outfit Sampdoria
Roberto Di Matteo’s revamp of Chelsea looks set to continue with TalkSPORT claiming he is looking to raid Sampdoria for three of their upcoming talents.
The Italian is said to be keen on taking advantage of players from his homeland with winger Pedro Obiang, anchorman Roberto Soriano and midfielder Nenad Krsticic all believed to be the subject of scouting visits from Chelsea.
Di Matteo detailed one of these scouting missions to watch the trio as Sampdoria slipped to defeat against Napoli at the weekend.
Twenty-year-old Pedro Obiang has 37 appearances to his name since his 2008 move to Italy from Atletico Madrid while Nenad Krsticic has 20. Soriano has only a pair of outings in Sampdoria blue – although he did spent a season on loan to Empoli, netting twice in 27 showings.
The signing of the three starlets would keep in line with Chelsea’s policy of recruiting young and promising players to replace their ageing squad – a revolution signalled with the expensive summer arrivals of Brazilian Oscar and Belgium’s Eden Hazard.
