Liverpool step up chase for Birmingham City starlet
Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Birmingham City teenager Nathan Redmond, according to the Telegraph.
The report claims that talks have broken down between the Championship outfit and Redmond, 18, who is seen as a potential star of the future.
This has alerted Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers who believes that Redmond, adept at playing on either flank or up front, could add to his already impressive list of young players at Anfield.
An England Under-19 international, Redmond’s current deal at St Andrews runs until the end of the 2013/14 season but the Blues will be aware that interest from he likes of Liverpool will only serve to turn increase speculation.
Redmond has started three times in the Championship this season, starting on just three occasions.
