Manchester United ready to replace Nani with Porto star?
Manchester United are considering replacing Nani with Porto star James Rodriguez, according to a report from the Mirror.
The speculation claims that Manchester United may be willing to offload Nani for as little as £12.5m as the Old Trafford club have grown frustrated with the Portuguese winger’s recent inconsistency.
This has alerted the likes of AC Milan and Juventus – both of whom appear to be keen on capturing the trickster in the January transfer window.
As a replacement, Manchester United are said to be looking at Porto’s Rodriguez who has already demonstrated his ability to provide an end product this season with four goals and four assists from eight outings.
Nani, 25, signed for Manchester United in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon but, with the likes of Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia to compete with, the trickster has found it difficult to nail down a first team place this campaign.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Rodriguez has already hinted that he would be willing to join the 19-time English league champions.
“We all know that Manchester United are a great club,” he is quoted by the Mirror.
“England is a great league but I’m thinking of Porto for now.”
