The Daily Star are reporting that Arsenal are keen on signing Newcastle United attacker Hatem Ben Arfa with Theo Walcott’s future at the club uncertain.

The Gunners are believed to be drawing up a contingency plans for Walcott’s potential exit from the Emirates which could come in January or at the end of the season when his contract runs out.

One of the potential resolutions is Newcastle midfielder-come-attacker Ben Arfa who has excelled for Alan Pardew’s side in the 2012 calendar year and become one of the Toon’s key men alongside Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse.

On the other hand, Walcott, 23, has stalled his contract negotiations with Arsenal and cited that he needs to be playing as a central striker in order to sign a new deal.

However, with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski in the squad, Walcott’s chances of fulfilling his ambition seem frivolous.

Even if Ben Arfa, but let Walcot also remain because we Ars fans still need him. See what he did to Reading yesterday, he sometimes do miracles on the pitch. Walcot has to remain at Arsenal fc.
