Chelsea favourite eyeing move away from Stamford Bridge?

In a world where ‘experiencing different cultures’ shrouds people’s financial gains, it’s seems Chelsea’s Frank Lampard will be the next man to jump ship with a move to the Chinese Super League on the cards, according to Sky Sports.

The 34-year-old is reportedly in talks with Guizhou Renhe, talks confirmed by the club, despite Roberto Di Matteo’s refutes.

Renhe’s deputy board chairman, Yang Xaiyou claimed: “Yes, we are in contact with Lampard but so far, nothing is settled.”

Lampard, currently sidelined through a calf injury, has struggled to nail down a spot in Chelsea’s increasingly continental line-up due to the summer arrivals of Eden Hazard and Oscar and could be ready to call time on his decorated Stamford Bridge career.

LA Galaxy and PSG have been credited with an interest though Lampard is said to prefer a switch to China to join up with former team mates Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka; the two forwards are said to be earning roughly $300,000 a week at Shanghai Shenhua.

Guizhou Chairman, Dai Yongge, was recently quoted in a Chinese newspaper as saying Lampard will hook up with his new side in January and be made captain ahead of the looming Chinese Super League season opening in March.

Guizhou Renhe’s rise in Chinese football reached a pinnacle last season as they finished fourth in the league to earn a place in the AFC Champions League for the first time.

The club is based in the South Western province and play at the Shaanxi Coca Cola Stadium. The 2013 campaign will be their 12th consecutive season in China’s top flight.
