Dani Alves to replace Sagna at Emirates?
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to swoop for Barcelona full-back Dani Alves during the January transfer window, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Brazil right-back has lost his place in the Catalan side’s starting team, falling down the pecking order behind Adriano Correia and Martin Montoya.
Gunners boss Wenger is ready to snap Dani Alves up next month as he searches for a replacement Bacary Sagna who looks set for a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Frenchman Sagna has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain after turning down the offer of an extension to his current contract which runs out in 2014.
With Barca nine points clear at the top of the table, it is unlikely manager Tito Vilanova will change his side, alerting Wenger to Dani Alves’ availability.
