At Clean Sheets HQ, we love video games almost as much as we love you, our readers. In fact, we’ve taken our obsession with a certain EA Sports title to the next level by rating ‘The good, the bad and the overrated’ from every big club.

This time we cast our square eyes over FC Barcelona.

The good… Daniel Alves

Acceleration 88

Reactions 89

Stamina 89

Sprint speed 89

Overall rating – 84

The Brazilian full-back is prepared to run for the whole 90 minutes and won’t rest until every blade of grass has been covered. He’s so good it’s like having two players in one. ‘The Tank’ contributes regularly to the attack, without ever neglecting his defensive duties.

The bad… Bojan Krkic

Finishing 85

Crossing 76

Reactions 78

Agility 83

Overall rating -79

Bojan shows that he can beat any marker with his trademark pace but it’s when he’s clear in front of goal that he lets himself down. Can be used as an impact player when Pedro begins to tire but keep away from the starting 11.

The overrated… Eric Abidal

Reactions 80

Jumping 80

Agility 67

Strength 82

Overall rating – 82

Believe it or not Barcelona do have a weakness and it lies with this man. The Frenchman often gets caught out of position which can be detrimental to the side if up against a team with strong wide players. Also prone to giving the ball away, so be careful when building attacks from the back. Only half the player that saw Barcelona concur Fifa 10.
