Off the pitch… The top 10 managers of the decade

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has been named the world’s best manager over the past decade by the ‘International Football Federation of History & Statistics’ (IFFHS) – despite not winning a trophy for six years.
‘The Professor’ earned 156 points while Sir Alex Ferguson was second (148) and Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho followed in third (135).
English managers on the other hand did not fair so well, with Liverpool’s under-fire gaffer, Roy Hodgson, ranked the highest in a below-par 92nd place.
A remarkable four Chelsea bosses (past and present) feature in the top seven!
The top 10 is as follows:
1. Arsene Wenger (France) 156
2. Sir Alex Ferguson (Scotland) 148
3. Jose Mourinho (Portugal) 135
4. Fabio Capello (Italy) 120
5. Guus Hiddink (Holland) 112
6. Carlo Ancelotti (Italy) 108
7. Luiz Scolari (Brazil) 101
8. Marcelo Bielsa (Argentina) 101
9. Rafael Benitez (Spain) 97
10. Marcello Lippi (Italy) 88
