Off the pitch… Ryan Babel to face FA action over Twitter outburst

Howard Webb incensed Liverpool fans today by awarding a controversial penalty during Manchester United’s tie against the Merseyside outfit. Dutchman, Ryan Babel, has since  responded angrily to the decision by posting on his Twitter account a mock-photo of Webb in a United shirt, saying, “And they call him one of the best referees? That’s a joke. SMH.”

It is thought that the Football Association will not take kindly to Babel’s outburst, whilst Kenny Dalglish’s son, Paul, also had something to say: “Howard Webb MBE. Manc of the Busby Era. I am not normally bitter, as you know, but it is different rules against them… Fergie has his puppet Howard Webb on a piece of string.”
