Off the pitch… Michael Owen lays into Liverpool
Owen said, “Their position reflects where they are at now – they’re in the middle of a transitional period and off the pitch they’ve had a change of ownership… They’re also very reliant on a couple of star players and if they are out, then they’ve tended to struggle.”
Travelling Liverpool fans booed the injury-prone striker when he came on as a second-half sub in Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Old Trafford, but is he right to make comments about his former club?
