Arsenal are in advanced talks with French pair Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy over new deals to stay with the Gunners.

With both stars about to enter the final year of their contracts, the Emirates board are keen to offer fans assurances that the club is moving in the right direction following their sixth successive year without silverware.

Nasri, 23, and Clichy, 25, have been instrumental in Arsenal’s title bid this season.

Heard this about 3 months ago then went quiet now the talk of them signing is back. Personally I don’t think samir will sign a new contract as he would have came out and said he wanted to stay like what clichy and sanga have just done hope I’m wrong tho. Btw what do u think of my team?

    Chesney
    sagna djourou vermaelen clichy
    Song
    Wilshere. Fabregas
    Nasri
    Van persie. Walcott

I was of the understanding that Nasri had just been given a big pay rise and is now on 90,000 pounds per week plus a five year contract.

I think if arsenal will not sign an experienced goalkeeperlike shay given, and one strong midifilder like Masherano together with an attacking player like who is physic like charton cole or darren bent, asamoa gyan,i dont think there is a possibility of arsenal winning a title

The team need a massive clearout and a summer spree to brighten their chances of winning any trophy. Bcos a team that lost a trophy to birmingham, u cannot expect such a team to win against a team like madrid.

Thats what we need – keep two of our perennial losers at the club on HUGE pay rises – Arsenal are a joke to the rest of the world yet that functional french retard cannot see it. He screwed Monaco up and he is doing the same to us – Arsenal are finished.

  9. north london is ours says:

cast your mind back to when we played the spuds at home: all week wenger was preaching to the fans that they must show gallas respect when the scum come to play. and what does that slimy mf nasri do? i’ll tell you what he does: he openly defies wenger and refuses to shack hands. wenger, the cowered that he has now become does nothing to punish him. ok, you say, the players no longer fear the manager, time for ceo to flex his muscles and bring nasri to heel. oy yeah, that’s right, he has even less balls then wenger.

the whole lot of them have disgraced the once proud traditions of our club.

piss off wenger and take nasri with you.

bring back dein as chairman and let red and white invest in the club before wenger and the board compleatly destroy arsenal’s good name.

    here’s my suggestion:
Cash in on Koscielny, Chamakh, Squilacci, Diaby, Rosicky, Denilson, Arshavin, Almunia & Bendtner. Force them the fuck out.

Then, bring in M.Stekelenburg, W. Snjeider, C. Eriksen, P. Mertesacker, E. Hazard, M. Sakho, Moussa Sissoko. In addition to those, we’re also recieving fresh youngsters by the likes JET, Frimpong and so forth.

I know it sounds ambitious, but we still have the leftovers from Adebayor and Toure (35m), and we’ll be recieving a reported transfer budget of 40m. That’s 75m. add that on to the sales of around 60m+(at least 135m put together) and we won’t be that short at all. I really do believe we’ll be able to make it go through.

    my ultimate line-up

    Stekelenburg
    Sagna-Mertesacker-Vermaelen-Clichy
    Sissoko
    Fabregas-Sneijder
    Eriksen———Hazard
    RVP

Can you imagine the depth of this squad?? the professor would be able to rotate and troll around as much as he’d like, but even he wouldn’t be able to f*** it up.

Let me know what you guys think. Cheers!

    tormod Reply:

Make that sakho as left back. I realized he suits that position as well. Clichy is good offensively but lacks in the defensive department. Besides, he might be off to a new club anyway. And the reason why I took Nasri out of the team is that I don’t think he’ll dwell at the club much longer with the lack of commitment he’s displayed in the latter part of the season.

I’m not so sure it’s up to Wenger anymore. Kroenke looks like a guy who wants some results in return for his involvement.

Its better 4 wenger 2 flashout some players like clichy, sagna, alumunia, chamak, diaby and replace them with exprienced one like diego milito, sokho, douglas costa, p metsecker, this can led changes in Arsenal team and eventually real competition 2 man u and chelsea otherwise we won’t compete with other giant team like man u, barca n madrid!
