Arsenal captain splits up with Spanish girlfriend

Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has ended his long-term relationship with childhood sweetheart Carla Garcia.

The Spanish superstar had been with the 24-year-old for seven years before deciding to call things a day.

According to The Sun, Fabregas’s father revealed: “The decision to end the relationship was more his than Carla’s.”

“It’s a shame. They had been together for a long time and she was a lovely girl.

“But Cesc wants to be on his own. He preferred to end things before there were children or things like that.”

A friend of the pair told the tabloid: “They were perfect for each other.

“All his friends were convinced it was just a matter of time before they walked down the aisle. Despite the break-up being amicable, Cesc has been pretty cut up about it.

“They had been together more than seven years and were childhood sweethearts.”

“News of the split is bound to fuel rumours he will move back to Spain this summer.”

Fabregas has only notched up three Premier League goals this season.

Affairs of the heart rarely run smoothly and maybe some of this showed in his game.

At his age he can afford to wait before he takes on more responsibility, it`s not the end of the world. don`t know about his return to Spain based on this, I would have thought the opposite.

I hope CESC will still be with ARSENAL for as long as he wants to. We all GOONERS love him and he knows it. We watch him grew up here for 8yrs. since he came here as a boy now he is a young man with so much responsibility as EL CAPITAN the more reason for him to stay and they will soon win a trophy if that is important to him.
