Liverpool agree deal for Brazilian goalkeeper

Liverpool have agreed a price with AS Roma for goalkeeper Doni, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The Brazilian, 31, would presumably be brought to Liverpool as back-up for the formidable Pepe Reina who looks like staying at Anfield despite speculation earlier in the year that the Spaniard could leave.
Doni has been Roma’s number one goalkeeper since the sacking of manager Claudio Ranieri at the turn of the year, replacing another Brazilian, Julio Sergio, as the first choice stopper.
If the deal goes through, it’s likely Liverpool will offload Brad Jones who was on loan at Derby County last season.

i think mr, kenny is out of the point the lfc need to push themselfs up next season if posible europa league, but champions league am not sure because of the type of players that kenny is going for these summer, but first why kenny don’t try and bring SHAY GIVEN to lfc shay given could’ve been the best choice.

Why would shay given come to liverpool to sit on the the bench? He’s still one of the best goalkeepers in britain.

Shay Given isn’t willing to play back-up to Pepe Reina…why do people say such foolish things? Kenny has 20 times the footballing brains that this williams guy has but he still questions him.

Patience dear chap! The man you are telling to write properly is obviously a fan from overseas,(Q.can ‘you’write in French?)and he has a point regarding some of the players that LFC are being linked with! And to be correct! This is how we spell ‘USEFUL’(not ‘USE FULL’),in proper English! Savvy ?

My reply was to Michael Roberts!Hope you got the message!

A point to consider is that there is a lot deeper thought on selection of signs. Statistic’s etc some of you don’t know Liverpool FC history to well. Kenny Dalglish had a knack for bringing less well known players and making them work to do great things.

It surprises me why a goalie playing week in week out at Roma would want to sit on the bench backing up Pepe. Good luck to him and it can only be good for LFC.
DaveWA. Like your style. YNWA

William, i’m sure you’re a nice bloke but have a word with yourself lad. Kenny Dalglish is the man who’s won the title more times than anyone bar ferguson. I would suggest he probably, therefore, has a better idea of how to approach transfer strategy than you do….?! Shay would have been a great choice if pepe was leaving but as one of the Prem’s best, he’s not going to go from 2nd choice at city to 2nd choice at LFC.
