Liverpool eye £4m deal for another former striker

Liverpool are the favourites to sign Chelsea striker Nicholas Anelka, according to SportsVibe.
Anelka, 32, had a brief spell on loan to Liverpool back in the 2001/02 season and has requested to be transfer listed at Chelsea for his lack of playing time this campaign.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas revealed on Saturday that the request had been accepted and that Anelka was free to leave next month.
Speculation suggests that Liverpool are in the box seat to re-sign the Frenchman and could strike a £4m deal with the Blues.
