Liverpool chasing Valencia winger this month?

Liverpool are interested in signing Valencia wide man Pablo Hernandez, according to the Liverpool Daily Post.

The Reds have struggled to find a right-sided midfield player that is able to produce consistent performances this season and Hernandez could be seen as the answer with the Spaniard reportedly unsettled at the Mestella.

Dirk Kuyt and Jordan Henderson have been the main occupiers of Liverpool’s right midfield birth but the pair have just one Premier League goal between them this term and manager Kenny Dalglish may look to bring in a more direct winger.

Hernandez, 26, has a contract with Valencia until 2014 and has played 27 times for the La Liga side this campaign, scoring twice.

The midfielder is also a Spanish international but received his last cap in 2010 in a match against Scotland.

Liverpool have yet to bring anyone to Anfield in this month’s window despite spending over £50m on Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez this time last year.
