Liverpool are continuing to monitor the progress of Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.
According to SportsVibe, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has identified the Italian international as a possible mid-season or summer signing.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning Liverpool would capture the player for free if they were to wait until June.
AC Milan and Arsenal could compete with Liverpool for Montolivo’s signature.
