Tottenham Hotspur “in talks” with Brazilian youth international

It is being reported by the Daily Mail that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Sao Paulo for their young defender Bruno Uvini.
Spurs are apparently keen on a six-month loan deal with a view to making the signature a permanent one in the summer if the 20-year-old can impress sufficiently.
However, Tottenham could run into similar problems that saw Queens Park Ranger’s move for Brazilian youngster Henrique break down. The forward, who also plays with Sao Paulo, has more under-20 appearances than Uvini and was rejected an appeal of a work permit in order to play in the Premier League.
If Uvini was available, the newspaper reports that Tottenham could face competition from Serie A side Genoa who have prepared a £3m bid and Premier League sides Arsenal and QPR.
Uvini has played 16 times for the Brazilian under-20 side, scoring once and captained his nation in last year’s under-20 World Cup which the South Americans won.
