Liverpool star hails “special night” following Tottenham return

Liverpool star Luis Suarez has hailed his return to the Liverpool side as a “special night” following his appearance against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday evening.

Suarez, 25, was brought on by Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish for the final 25 minutes of the Reds’ Premier League encounter with Spurs that eventually finished goalless.

The Uruguayan international even had a chance to win the game on his comeback to the side with a header from a Steven Gerrard free-kick but keeper Brad Friedel was equal to the effort.

Speaking on his Twitter account, Suarez said: “Special night after I could play again with my teammates.

“A pitty we couldn’t get the 3 points. Now it’s time to add minutes little by little!”

Liverpool will now have to decide whether they want to start Luis Suarez in the game at Old Trafford this coming weekend.
