Tottenham Hotspur are still keen on signing Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega, reports the Mirror.
Speculation on deadline day had suggested that Spurs could move for the Columbian international but the player has decided to stay at the DW Stadium until his contract runs out at the end of the season.
Instead, Tottenham signed French forward Louis Saha from Everton for an undisclosed fee as they replaced Roman Pavlyuchenko who returned home to Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow.
However, the Mirror claims that Tottenham will look to sign Rodallega when he becomes a free agent in the summer – although they could face competition from both Queens Park Rangers and Fulham with the former believed to have made a £4m bid that was rejected by Wigan.
Rodallega helped Wigan survive relegation from the Premier League on the last day of the 2010/11 campaign with a winning goal at Stoke City but the 25-year-old has returned just two goals in the league this season.
