Man Utd Could Lose Out to AC Milan for Top Target
Manchester United target Dani Alves has revealed that ‘it would be a pleasure to sign for AC Milan’, according to talkSport.
The Barcelona right-back has been strongly linked with moves to both Manchester United and Liverpool in recent months as he is in the final month of his contract at Camp Nou.
It has not yet been confirmed that the Brazilian defender is leaving the treble winners.
Dani Alves played the full 90 minutes as Barcelona beat Juventus 3-1 in the 2015 UEFA Champions League final on Saturday and has previously been reported that he wants to leave the Spanish giants because they were not prepared to offer the 32-year-old a three-year contract.
TalkSport have quoted Alves from Sky Italia as saying:
“It would be a pleasure to join Milan.
“There is a proposal from Italy and I will evaluate all the alternatives before deciding.”
Since moving to Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008, Dani Alves has won five La Liga titles, the Champions League three times and the Copa del Rey on four occasions.
Manchester United are on the look-out for a new right-back this summer with Louis van Gaal telling Rafael he should look for a new club during this upcoming transfer window.
Ignazio Abate was the AC Milan right-back for the majority of last season, whilst 34-year old Daniele Bonera and 33-year-old Christian Zaccardo also spent some time there.
