Italian Side ‘Confident’ of Sealing Deal for Chelsea Playmaker
Fiorentina are ‘confident’ that Mohamed Salah will spend next season on loan with them, according to reports from talkSport.
The Egyptian international spent the second half of last season on loan in Serie A where he drew a lot of attention with some excellent displays.
TalkSport are citing reports from Italy where Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting Fiorentina’s confidence over taking the 23-year-old on a season-long loan.
Mohamed Salah has failed to break into José Mourinho’s first-team at Stamford Bridge after arriving 18 months ago and it appeared he could have been heading for a permanent exit in January but Chelsea could only agree a loan move.
The Italian newspaper also reports that the deal would include the opportunity for Fiorentina to sign the playmaker permanently for £12 million at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Mohamed Salah scored six goals and record a further three assists in his 16 Serie A appearances (10 starts) during the second half of last season. He had managed only three substitute appearances combining for 30 minutes in the Premier League during the first half of the 2014-15 season with Chelsea.
