Tottenham to break transfer record for Andy Carroll
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will make a £30m bid for the 22-year-old England international this week, according to Mirror Football.
The North Londoners have made previous offers of cash plus players Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane, however, gaffer Alan Pardew has instantly dismissed the bids, desperate to keep hold of the instrumental talisman.
Carroll, who has scored 11 goals so far this season, is currently struggling from a thigh injury that will keep him out of today’s Tyne-Wear derby at Sunderland.
