Last month saw a surprise England call-up for Bolton’s beefy talisman Kevin Davies. However, he only got to feature for 21 minuets in the drab 0-0 draw against Montenegro as the Lions lost their 100 per cent qualification record. Davies became the oldest debutant for 60 years getting to wear the famous white shirt worn by the likes of Gary Linker, Michael Owen and Bobby Charlton.
But with Capello opting for in form Championship striker Jay Bothroyd for this weeks friendly against France, has the 33-year-old been sent to the scrap heap of one cap wonders?
