Wigan and Standard Liege are battling to capture Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The Daily Mail reports that the 20-year-old Belgium centre-back is available on loan after failing to make a Premier League appearance since being sent off in the 3-0 home defeat to Arsenal in October.
