Off the pitch… Oldest footballer in Britain

Check out this old fella. He’s 75-years-young and Britain’s oldest footballer still playing regularly. Born in the same year as 1966 World Cup winners Jack Charlton and Ray Wilson, the Weymouth pensioner has been dubbed the ‘oldest winger in town.’

The quick-footed Mr Borthwick claimed that he has never been sent off: “I am a firm but fair player. I just love to get out there for 90 minutes as often as I can. I have lost a bit of speed, but my thoughts are quick and that really counts.”

We dare say he probably puts in more effort than Andrey Arshavin!
