Off the pitch… Cristiano Ronaldo bites back at Mario Balotelli
Portugal ace Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli he should “speak less and play more”.
When the Real Madrid star was asked about the 20-year-old, Ronaldo said: “He is a good player but he has to speak less and play more… In the Premier League, if he knows how to listen and wants to learn, he could become a great player. I hope he achieves that… However, today he puts many other things ahead of his career and this is not good.”
Balotelli has become a controversial figure in world football, revealing his opinions on a whole host of matters. On Monday he claimed Barcelona’s Lionel Messi was undeserving of his World Player of the Year award, while his former coach Jose Mourinho needed to ‘learn some respect’.
