Keisuke Honda – the engine behind CSKA Moscow’s midfield – is reportedly eager to leave Russia, with Arsenal and Liverpool touted as possible suitors.

His agent has today confirmed that he is in talks with several clubs over a possible move.

A playmaking midfielder, Honda had a brilliant World Cup for Japan last year, impressing with his energetic performances and match-winning goals. These performances spurred Arsene Wenger to describe Honda as the player of the tournament. He said, “When they [Japan] get that genius playing up front, he has shown what a class player he is.”

Arsenal came close to sealing a deal for Honda in last year’s winter transfer window, only to be beaten by CSKA. With Andrey Arshavin rumoured to be wanting away, Arsene Wenger is suspected to make a move for the midfielder who would help drive the Gunners title bid!

The 24-year-old could also be seen as a mentor for Arsenal’s new Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi.

i was not interested to write any comment b’se it’s useless if arsenal are still with the same manager for having interest on all the players without reason it seem he is the one selecting players for other club, once he selected and leave it to other club to buy mat he is getting money over his interest.

i will keep on suporting arsenal but honda is the best.
