Chelsea will be looking to safely book their place in the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup when they host Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Prior to the game, Antonio Conte has spoken to the media at his pre-match press conference today and has given a team news and injury update.

The Blues boss was able to confirm that his side suffered no fresh injury concerns in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Hull City as Gary Cahill fully covered from his clash of heads with Ryan Mason.  This means the Italian coach has a fully fit and available squad to pick from.

Chelsea currently sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of their big game at Anfield against Liverpool on Tuesday night.  This fixture means Conte is expected to rotate his squad against Brentford this weekend.

A number of key players are expected to be rested versus the Championship opponents and Conte has confirmed that some of his fringe players will be given an opportunity.

Despite being strongly linked with a move away from the club this month, the Chelsea manager was able to confirm that Asmir Begović will start in goal tomorrow.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has been expected to sign for Bournemouth in recent days but his manager says that he is a Chelsea player and will be given his opportunity against Brentford.

Having been recalled from his loan at Bournemouth earlier this month, defender Nathan Aké will also be given a start this weekend, whilst Michy Batshuayi will continue his role as the starting striker in cup competitions.
