Charlie Adam close to Liverpool move after bookmakers slash odds

Blackpool captain Charlie Adam could be close to joining Liverpool after bookmakers slashed their odds on the transfer happening.

Adam’s move to Liverpool is now 1/10 with some bookies meaning that a deal is almost certain to happen. The news comes just hours after Blackpool manager Ian Holloway insisted his talisman would be staying at Bloomfield Road.

“He has signed a contract and someone can come in, but it’s not his choice and it’s not their choice,” said Holoway. “He belongs to us and he is contracted for 18 months.”

Liverpool, who have also been linked with a move for Ajax’s Luis Suarez, have yet to complete any transfers in the January window with only 10 days remaining.

A lot of pressure on Adam who of which it seems Blackpool look to give him the ball as much as possible not sure that will happen at Anfield. But of course he must take this chance.
