Charlton Loan Arsenal Forward
League One side Charlton Athletic have signed Stephy Mavididi on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the 2016-17 season the Premier League side have confirmed.
The highly-rated 18-year old striker was the top scorer for the Gunners’ under-23s last season.
Mavididi has scored six goals in 11 Premier League reserve games this season for the North London club and convinced manager Arsène Wenger to allow him to leave the club on loan to make his professional debut.
Charlton are currently 11th in the third tier of English football; six points off the playoffs. They will be hoping Mavididi can help their push to finish in the top six of the division and possible promotion back to the Championship.
Born in Derby, Stephy Mavididi has been very impressive for the Arsenal youth team over the past season-and-a-half and many will expect him to do well for the Addicks during his loan spell for the second half of the season.
The teenager is capable of playing both as a striker and on the wing.
