Serie A News… AC Milan chief hints at a move for Man City star
Adriano Galliano, the Milan Vice-President, has hinted that the club may yet make more signings before the Transfer Window closes at the end of January.
Speaking to the Milan channel, when asked about more signings, he replied: “Well? we’ll see… there is still a week left.”
It seems that Galliani also highlighted the area of the pitch where the Rossoneri will be looking to add to – the midfield.
Having already captured the Ajax wing-back Urby Emanuelson, for a meagre €1.7m, they are looking for an energetic midfielder to add depth to their side, and James Milner is thought to fit this bill.
Milner, 25, is now on the fringes of the side at Eastlands and it is possible that Milan may look to secure a loan option on the player for the remainder of the season, especially considering their midfield options have been limited lately having being forced to play Thiago Silva in that position in the win over Cesena.
Roberto Mancini may sanction the move in order to improve Milner’s technique with a future in the Champions League and long-term Manchester City future in mind.
