Manchester United and West Ham complete the opening round of games to start the 2017-18 Premier League season at Old Trafford this afternoon.

José Mourinho’s side were in Macedonia for the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday night but the United boss was able to confirm he has all but Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young to ick from today.

Visitors West Ham are without a number of first team players but are able to hand former-Manchester United favourite Javier Hernández a debut this afternoon.

The two teams for this afternoon’s game are as follows:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Daley Blind; Nemanja Matić, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata; Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial

Romelu Lukaku makes his Premier League debut for Manchester United after scoring their consolation in the Super Cup on Tuesday day.  The £75 million summer signing will be flanked by Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Jesse Lingard dropping to the bench.

Fellow summer signing Nemanja Matić starts in centre midfield along with Paul Pogba and Juan Mata, whilst Ander Herrera drops to the bench.

There’s no place in the squad for Victor Lindelöf as Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are named as the centre-back partnership.  In fact, Antonio Valencia is the only defender to keep his place from the team that lost to Real Madrid as Daley Blind comes in at left-back.  Chris Smalling and Matteo Darmian drop to the bench.

West Ham

Joe Hart; Pablo Zabaleta, Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku; Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang, Edimilson Fernandes; André Ayew, Javier Hernández, Marko Arnautović

Substitutes: Adrián, Sam Byram, Aaron Cresswell, José Fonte, James Collins, Declan Rice, Diafra Sakho

Slaven Bilić hands debuts to four summer signings.  Former-Manchester City pair Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta can expect to be booed this afternoon, whilst striker Javier Hernández can expect a rousing ovation as he was a fan favourite during his time as a Red Devil.  Marko Arnautović also starts for the Hammers.
