Manchester United made it three wins from three to end Saturday top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Leicester City.

Romelu Lukaku had seen his penalty on 53 minutes saved by Kasper Schmeichel before substitute Marcus Rashford volleyed home a Henrikh Mkhitaryan corner to break the deadlock in a game United had dominated from start to finish.

Marouane Fellaini’s late tap in secured the three points for José Mourinho’s side.

Here are CSAR’s player ratings from Manchester United 2-0 Leicester City:

David de Gea 7 – The Spaniard had a comfortable game before being forced into a fine save in stoppage time from Andy King.  David de Gea made four saves in all – twice as many as his first two games combined.

Antonio Valencia 7 – The right-back didn’t allow Marc Albrighton any success down United’s right-hand side.  Antonio Valencia offered width going forward though he had opportunities to get forward more often than he took.

Phil Jones 9 – A rock at the back again this afternoon, Phil Jones made some key blocks and tackles to prevent Leicester breaking United’s clean sheet streak of three games.

Eric Baily 8 – Neither Eric Bailly or Phil Jones allowed much at all down the middle.  In fact, a tame Shinji Kagawa effort from 25 yards was the only effort on target from either Leicester striker.

Daley Blind 6 – Leicester looked most threatening through Riyad Mahrez down their right wing.  The Algerian had the beating of Daley Blind, turning him inside-out but fortunately for United it never lead to anything serious.

Nemanja Matic 8 – Another excellent game in the middle of the park from Nemanja Matic has seen Manchester United keep a clean sheet in all three Premier League games heading into the international break.  The Serbian broke up the play in the middle of the park and brought the ball forward to help start attacks.

Paul Pogba 7 – Lively start to the game with effort after effort, but none of Paul Pogba’s six efforts on goal were actually on target.  Was still a useful attacking player for Untied today but could have brought his teammates into play more often than he did.

Juan Mata 7 – Put the ball in the back of the net in the first half only to be correctly ruled out for offside which replays showed was correct by a fraction.  Juan Mata looked after the ball well but wasn’t hugely creative today before being replaced on 66 minutes by Marcus Rashford.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan 7 – Was creative in the number 10 role again but it was from a corner which Henrikh Mkhitaryan recorded his fifth assist in three games.

Anthony Martial 7 – Looked a threat down the left wing, particularly early in the first half where he found space out wide where he created a couple of chances.

Romelu Lukaku 7 – The Belgian striker put in a good shift up front, running both flanks, holding the ball up and bringing teammates into play.  Will be disappointed to have seen his penalty saved but it was at a nice height for Kasper Schmeichel.  Didn’t cause the Dane any real problems in open play.

Substitutes

Marcus Rashford (24 mins) N/A – Scored within four minutes of being introduced having been dropped for Anthony Martial in the starting lineup today.

Marouane Fellaini (17 mins) N/A – Came on and scored a tap in.  Not sure what Marouane Fellaini was doing so far up field having been brought on at 1-0 with 17 minutes to go.

Jesse Lingard (15 mins) N/A – Didn’t get too many touches in the quarter-of-an-hour he was on the field but Jesse Lingard still set up United’s clinching goal.
