Who Will Make the 2017-18 Premier League Team of the Season

Manchester City were able to claim their third Premier League title after Manchester United suffered a shock defeat at home to the Premier League’s bottom club West Bromwich Albion. The likes of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero all shone in a league season that sees the Citizens on course to claim a couple of records. City could become the record holder for both the most points won in a single season and the most goals in a single season, with Chelsea currently holding both records.

With City having dominated most of the league this season, there is no doubt that under Pep Guardiola they will once again be one of the favourites in English Premier League betting odds. Next season may well see Liverpool put up a real title fight, with Mo Salah likely to be Liverpool’s main attacking threat after having an incredible season under Jurgen Klopp. Despite a sluggish start, the Reds have found their rhythm and are looking on course to reach the Champions League final, following on from a 5-2 first leg victory over Italian club AS Roma.

One big issue for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be finding a replacement for Emre Can, who is out of contract in the summer and is attracting attention from the likes of Juventus. While Guardiola will be provided with funds to improve the City squad for next season, Klopp faces a bigger challenge, with the transfer budget unknown and there being no money from the Can move, if he does leave on a free at the end of the season.

In the last few seasons Tottenham have proven that they have what it takes to challenge for top honours in the Premier League, even if they are yet to win it. With rumours of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino looking to sell quite a few players this summer, he will be hoping to have a Man City style budget in order to replace those he sells. Danny Rose is one of the big name players who looks set to leave the North London club, having seen himself replaced by Ben Davies, who has not only played well defensively, but has also demonstrated the ability to help in attacking movements.

In the infographic below we have created our Premier League Team of the Season which includes some of the best talents from a variety of different Premier League clubs.
