Off the pitch… Sky Sports Gray and Keys make sexist remarks
Sky Sports presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys have been caught making sexist remarks about a lineswoman before yesterday’s game between Wolves and Liverpool.
The pair were commenting on Sian Massey, 25, who ran the line during the game, her second Premier League match of the season.
Thinking that their mics had been switched off, Keys said: “Somebody better get down there and explain offside to her.”
To which, Gray replied: “Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don’t know the offside rule.”
Keys came back: “Course they don’t. I can guarantee you there will be a big one today. Kenny [Dalglish] will go potty. This isn’t the first time, is it? Didn’t we have one before?”
Massey made a crucial decision in the match, allowing Liverpool’s first goal – although initially Raul Meireles’ run looked offside, her decision was proved right in subsequent replays.

Why was it necessary to point out she made a correct decision during the game? almost suggesting that if she had got it wrong there is more justification in what Keyes and Gray were spewing.
Proof of her performance is not necessary to demonstrate how dispicable this behaviour by these two was.

It looked offside on first glance though didn’t it? Purely pointing out that it was an excellent decision.
