Confirmed Lineups: Spurs vs Man City
Tottenham Hotspur are set to host fellow Premier League rivals Manchester City in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final this evening.
This will be the first European game played at Tottenham’s new stadium after it was opened last week for a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The two teams for this evening’s game are confirmed as:
Hugo Lloris; Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose; Mousa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Chistian Eriksen; Dele Alli, Heung-min Son; Harry Kane
Substitutes: Paulo Gazzaniga, Ben Davies, Davinson Sánchez, Juan Foyth, Victor Wanyama, Lucas Moura, Fernando Llorente
Mauricio Pochettino has reverted to a back four for this game with Belgian duo Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen starting in the middle.
No surprises in attack with Harry Kane leading the line. Lucas Moura is among the substitutes.
Ederson; Kyle Walker, Aymeric Laporte, Nicolás Otamendi, Fabian Delph; Fernandinho, İlkay Gündoğan, David Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Agüero, Raheem Sterling
Substitutes: Aro Muric, Vincent Kompany, John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sané, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden
Pep Guardiola has gone with Riyad Mahrez down the right-hand side of his front three once again as Leroy Sané is only among the substitutes. Kevin De Bruyne will be alongside him but looked very good in their victory over Cardiff City less than a week ago.
Nicolás Otamendi partners Aymeric Laporte in the middle of Manchester City’s defence as John Stones is only on the bench. Fabian Delph starts at left-back.
