According to The Times, Blackpool skipper Charlie Adam is desperate to join Liverpool by the end of the week.

Tangerines manager Ian Holloway has pleaded his star man to stay, but the Scottish midfielder has now stated that his desire is to play for Kenny Dalglish at Anfield.

Liverpool are prepared to push £5m for Adam but have made it known that they will consider other targets if they are to be priced-out of the deal.

Adam would be a good player for liverpool and at 5 million a snip. When you consider we paid 5 mil to juventus for poulsen. He has potential to improve as a player as he is still only 25.

ah player power. club captains an contracts don’t mean shyt. any player can just force their way out. bosman made a rule that pulled the heart out of football. well good luck te him, I’m sure he will enjoy his new wage package. as a Liverpool fan I’m delighted as I think he is a very skillful player, but spare a thought for Halloway. Adams is the captain and the brains behind nearly every offensive move from the tango men. what use is 5 million, he won’t find a player that will fill the void that easily. and the closer it gets to the closing of the window the harder it becomes. But that’s life I guess
