Leeds sign USA international Adams
Leeds United have completed the signing of midfielder Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig in a deal believed to be worth around £20 million.
The 23-year-old United States international has signed a five-year deal at Elland Road.
Adams made 24 appearances (12 starts) in the German Bundesliga this past season, and a further four (2 starts) in the UEFA Europa League.
Leeds were able to complete the deal in time for the 30-time USA international to be included in their squad which flies out to Australia for a tour next week.
The midfielder, who is also capable of playing at right-back, becomes Leeds’ fifth summer signing in what has been a busy transfer window for the Yorkshire club.
RB Salzburg duo Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen arrived at Elland Road four weeks ago, but Spanish holding midfielder Marc Roca joined from Bayern Munich a week later. Leeds then announced the signing of youngster Darko Gyabi from Manchester City on Monday.
