Man Utd complete Malacia transfer
Manchester United have announced the signing of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.
The 22-year-old Netherlands international was widely-expected to sign at Old Trafford over the past week but the club were just dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s over the past few days.
The deal is believed to be worth in the region of £13 million. Malacia will add competition to Luke Shaw at left-back.
He becomes Erik ten Hag’s first signing at Manchester United. The Dutch manager is expected to make a few further signings between now and the start of the 2022-23 season.
Tyrell Malacia came through the youth system at Feyenoord, going on to make 98 Dutch Eredivisie appearances for the giants. He has since gone on to make five appearances for the Netherlands’ national team and is expected to compete for a place in their World Cup squad at the end of the year.
