Serie A giants Inter Milan will make a £40m bid this summer for Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale, according to the Guardian.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp could find it difficult to keep hold of Bale, 21, with the Welshman also courting interest from a number of other top European clubs including Real Madrid.
If Bale was to leave Tottenham for £40m it would be the highest amount paid for a British footballer and the fifth most expensive transfer in history.
