Schalke manager Felix Magath has denied rumours that Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was offered to league rivals Wolfsburg during the winter transfer window.
Stories circulated from Sport Bild that a Schalke official had visited Wolfsburg to discuss a possible move for the former Real Madrid and AC Milan hitman.
However, Magath has laughed off the news, insisting that transfers are always discuss through agents.
“It’s not true that Schalke or some middle-man offered Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Wolfsburg. That’s not even the way transfers go these days. Agents always visit clubs to say that they could bring a player to a certain club if they’re interested,” commented Magath to Bild.
