Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has voiced his displeasure at the sacking of Brentford manager Andy Scott.

Szczesny, 20, is thankful to Scott after the League One manager signed him on loan for Brentford last season.

Speaking to his followers on Twitter, the Arsenal stopper said: “What a joke! Andy Scott sacked?! He is a fantastic manager and Brentford will pay the price for his sacking I’m afraid.

“Just wanted to say thank you to Andy Scott for what he has done for me! He’s been so helpful to me and I really enjoyed working with him!”

Scott took Brentford into League One after promotion from England’s fourth tier but has been dismissed with the club hovering above the drop zone.
